I have been wondering how I would feel when this onerous election came to an end. Would I be forgiving, would my anger burst to the forefront, or would I feel something I had not thought of?
I realize now that I am just tired. Last night, after I spoke at length to a friend about the returns, I realized I was weary and wanted to go to bed. It has been a long four years.

Now, I am ready to write about it.
First things first: the imminent possibility of China attacking Taiwan. As I understand it, if China were to attack Taiwan, they would do it during April or October. Those are the times of the year that conditions in the Taiwan Strait are ideal for a crossing. October has passed, but just barely.
China will not want to attack while Donald Trump is president. If Kamala had won, they might have waited indefinitely. Now, their timeline is necessarily constricted. They would definitely prefer to attack while we have a weak president that is essentially under their control. That weak president that they control is Joe Biden. They know that Joe Biden is thinking of only one thing now: preserving his own future. He is no longer thinking of helping Kamala get over the line. Joe Biden knows that China has the goods on him and can ruin him if he does not cooperate with them. If they order him to stand down while they invade Taiwan, he will have two choices: deliberately let Taiwan lose the war or face certain ruin and possibly charges of treason.
With time running out for the fall opening and Joe Biden at his most vulnerable, China will likely attack Taiwan this week. Either that, or they will never do it. We should know very soon.
Assuming that does not happen, the United States will move into the Trump administration.
Despite how he has been depicted, Donald Trump is not a vindictive person. He will not set out to get revenge on those who have persecuted him. Fortunately, or unfortunately, he will not have to.
Donald Trump must pardon the vast throngs of other people who have been persecuted. They must be compensated for their damages. That is a moral imperative. Eventually, these people will end up testifying in front of Congress. The hearings might be called something like “Congressional Hearings on Abuse of Power”. When Americans learn, in painful detail, how countrymen have been mistreated, they will demand blood…real blood, not the metaphorical stuff. They will want to see the anti-American traitors that meted out this mistreatment stood before a firing squad.
The long-term effect of this reaction remains to be seen, but I can imagine news services razed and politicians suffering medieval consequences. Don’t be surprised if a lot of prominent individuals start moving to France. Hey…it’s a great time to buy a chateau!
The best way to protect legal integrity will be to hold trials and impose harsh sentences.
Beyond that, with control of the House and the Senate and a definite mandate, Donald Trump will begin bringing our nation back. However, as quickly as he does this, we will move into the Technological Singularity. Technology will advance so quickly that everything will change in a matter of one or two years. It will change so much that our current notions of democracy and leadership will become meaningless. In a sense, although it is impossible to guess what form society will take, it is reasonable to say that the 2024 election was our last “meaningful” presidential election. Possibly, the midterm election in 2026 will be meaningful, but even that is doubtful.
Donald Trump has the right team to take us into the Technological Singularity. Elon Musk is the spearhead of modern innovation and JD Vance is a sharp, tech-savvy marine. If it is possible to navigate what is coming, Donald Trump, Elon Musk and JD Vance have the best qualifications.
Donald Trump has also enlisted Tulsi Gabbard. Elon Musk and Tulsi Gabbard both advocate for a universal basic income (UBI). That could prove critical as robots and AI put people out of work. It is not clear how a UBI would manifest, but someone with Elon Musk’s grasp of business, technology and efficiency will be extremely helpful in its implementation.
The Technological Singularity is terra incognita. It is impossible to know how it will unfold or where it will take us. However, I am confident now that we will enter it on solid footing and with competent leadership.
